Genevieve's story...

Hello! Most of you probably know some stories about us, but here's something you don't. It was June and gloomy. I was in Cebu for the CPA Review at San Jose de Recolletus. I haven't met Ceazar, or Cocoy as some of you call him, yet or knew of him. But we had common friends. One of them gave him my cellphone number and that's where it all began. I so wish I saved the first message he sent to me so you'll get the whole picture... the very first thing he said to me that day that made my world go upside down! hahaha...

Anyway, that was the beginning of our friendship. He is such a mysterious guy for me back then. My first impression of him was he was a snob. But then first impression doesn't seem to last for me. Everytime he went home to CDO, he always brings me a pasalubog. And whenever I went home he made it sure that I was safe and I had company on the ferry... etc etc. In short, he is a perfect gentleman, a very nice person and very sweet in a funny way. And one thing that I like the most about him is that we connected each time we chat, he has a great sense of humor... we had fun just by talking to each other... up until now.

And I knew right away then that he was the one for me. Since then, I always thank GOD for giving me the opportunity to know a wonderful person as Cocoy is. He is my strength whenever I am down...just a simple hug from him makes my world go light. And for the coming wedding day? I would be so blessed and very happy and I cannot wait!

MY DESTINY

I have always dreamed of this. I'll admit that there was something I missed. I'm wondering if it is for real. Every mistake, every wrong turn, every time I lost my way, Lead me to this moment of bliss tonight.

With you, finally I can break free. With you, it's all changing in my destiny. Dream come true, it's all funny now that I see how different life turned out to be.

You were always by my side. That you believed in me was enough reason why. I didn't stop, didn't give up even if I sometimes lost hope. I did my best and I am blessed in life.

Can I get any higher?. Tell me, does it get any stronger? I owe it to you that I made it through. I never could have done it without you. And I realized that it's my destiny...

Chronicles of Cinderello...

First Night It was late in the afternoon and raining when he left. It wasn't heavy but he felt like bringing an umbrella which was very unusual. He felt pathetic. It took him a while to reach his destination. The long ride was worth it. The place looked like a haven for night people. He saw a pool hall to his right and opposite that he saw a night club. He missed both places and went straight ahead to a line of doors. He could still hear the people enjoying, laughing in the far background. It was getting dark. He approached the last door, tapped twice and waited for someone to answer. His heart was now pounding fast, faster. Sweat overcame his palms. His knees went weak. He tightened his grip on the umbrella. Suddenly, a blinding light came out from the opened door. His free hand was now covering his eyes. He peeked through his fingers and noticed a silhouette approach. When his focus recovered he recognized the figure. He tried to bring himself back to composure but it was too late. His mouth began to open as if trying to say something. Stammering, the words began to come out... "Hi, Gen. Ready na ka?"

First Mass The road was poorly lit. The ground looked disturbed and felt moist. There was soft chattering from afar and metallic sounds were coming from beyond. A scratchy sound disturbed the harmony. At first it was indistinguishable from the ruckus. It started weak and gained strength. It seemed like it came from all directions. It became stronger and stronger. Footsteps came from behind. You could make out just a pair with a weak thump in between each stride. Two shadows approached. One had two legs the other had three. They were moving towards the metallic sounds. They looked like they know where they were heading. Their gait was modest, very secure. They didn't mind what was happening around them. They were together. They were focused at each other. A giggle and then a laugh. They continued their way. The metallic sound ceased and in its place an amplified voice. In the name of the Father... "Late na ta!"

First Meal To the left was the road and a weird building was on the right. Bright yellow light coming from the building flooded the sidewalk. The building was painted red. Not too thick like blood and not too thin either. There was something wrong with the way it was built. It looked solid but the walls were as clear as air. You can see people inside it but you can't hear them. People come and go from the place. When they enter they line up with their heads looking up. They converse with somebody who offers them a flat container. They bring this receptacle to the opposite side where a number of counters are located. They stay their for a while. People look odd when they leave the place. They almost look happy, relieved. The entrance to the place was more bizarre than the building. It was guarded by a man who had a strange grin on his face. And the door had two golden arches over it. Two familiar figures approached the entrance. Three-legs was leading the way. Before the building swallowed them both they agreed upon a strange word... "ValueMeal#1"

New day It was a lonely corner decently lit by an overhead lamp. The ambiance was mild but not too quiet. The wind was soft and cool. Moonlight breaking through thin clouds. The normalcy was disturbed by occasional loud spot lights followed by a visible foul-smelling mass of air. On the off corner was a familiar figure standing right across what looked like stripes on the ground. He didn't smile. His expression was plane, not blank. A kind of humbled victorious expression. But you can tell he was happy. He was not pathetic. Bright lights came and went. His expression changed. It was bordering to blank. He looked like he was in another place. He was not there. And then a smile. Louder than ordinary. It was celebration. Bright lights approached. He quickly extended his right arm. Metallic sounds disturbed the quiet air. He raised his left wrist towards his eyes. He observed the metallic wrist band's display... "00:00"
